None of the characters are appealing, so you don't care when bad things happen to them. Also, when you repeatedly shift years in time between paragraphs, there should be something to indicate the time shift. Great characters, interesting town…good read!

Bethany MA is not a very safe place to live! This novel tells of some interesting lives behind some typical looking faces.
Mysterious story with wonderful characters!
Interesting story loved it being about a small New England town. Characters with flaws and faith.
